Level 2 (NVQ) Diploma in Plastering
This qualification is based solely on site in your chosen trade area. You will produce and NVQ portfolio with supporting evidence based on the work you complete whilst in employment.
Some of the units that you will complete are:
- Produce plastering finishes for existing projects – endorsements, internal
- Solid plastered
- Surfaces – endorsements, internal plasterwork and/or external plasterwork
- Install fibrous plaster on existing projects (Health & Safety Test Required)
There are 6 units in total, some of the above are mandatory units and others are optional.
More information will be available to you at enrolment. You will be visited on site by an Assessor who will assist you in gathering the needed evidence to prove competence
Apprentices underpinning knowledge, technical certificate and Functional Skills are delivered at college and the NVQ portfolio is developed in the workplace by gathering evidence towards completion of the practical units.
Experienced workers undertaking an NVQ will be assessed onsite by an experienced assessor who help you gather evidence for your qualification.
Applicants should possess extensive experience in the trade.
For applicants aged 16 – 24 NSPP have a range of vacancies available with employers, those without an employer will be given job seeking assistance by NSPP.

How is the course assessed?
Continuous assessment throughout the course based on: Practical observation, Oral questioning, Portfolio evidence and Written assessment.
Are there any opportunities for progression?
All successful students may have the opportunity to progress into self-employment or to a Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Plastering with NSPP.
