Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Plastering
The Advanced Apprenticeship in Plastering is for those who have successfully completed their level 2 qualification and who are capable of undertaking more complex jobs without supervision and who are also capable of supervising others.
This qualification is based solely on site in your chosen trade area. You will produce an NVQ portfolio based on the work you complete whilst in employment. Some of the units that you will complete are:
- Conserving, Restoring or Repairing Fibrous Plaster work in the Workplace
- Working on Conservation and Restoration Projects in the Workplace
- Confirming the Occupational Method of Working the Workplace
There are 6 units in total, some are mandatory units and others are optional. More information will be available at enrolment. You will be regularly visited on site by a College assessor who will assist you in gathering the needed evidence to prove competence.
Apprentices underpinning knowledge, technical certificate and Functional Skills are delivered at college and the NVQ portfolio is developed in the workplace by gathering evidence towards completion of the practical units.
Experienced workers undertaking an NVQ will be assessed onsite by an experienced assessor who help you gather evidence for your qualification.
Applicants will be expected to be in relevant employment with the support of an employer who can offer work that supports NVQ completion.
All applicants will be interviewed and assessed for suitability by a specialist member of staff.
