How do Apprenticeships work?
Apprentices do most of their learning at work and attend some classes at college.
How many classes they attend depends on their particular vocational area.
A typical week for a Plastering apprentice would be four days at work and one day at college.
You would pay your apprentice a salary while they train. You would usually be entitled to funding from the Skills Funding Agency to help with the training costs.
