Diploma Level 1 in Plastering Course

DURATION:  50 DAYS

The level 1 Plastering qualification provides an excellent introduction to both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for someone looking to progress to a career as a plasterer.

What is covered in this course?

This course can be accessed at the students discretion.  Ideally a minimum of 50 days is required to fulfill the units needed to pass the course.  The programme consists of 80% practical and 20% theory and over the length of the course you will build a portfolio consisting of your work.  The practical work takes place in a purpose build workshop and you will be assessed by qualified instructors.

Course Content

You will be taught the techniques of solid plastering; the application of wet finishes to walls, ceilings and fibrous plastering – the formation of ornamental plasterwork.

For the award of the full qualification, students must complete all units.  This course covers all the elements of plastering and site work to certificate levels.

You will also cover:

  • Health & Safety
  • Manual Handling
  • COSHH (Control os Substances Hazardous to Health)
  • Employment responsibilities and rights

Who is this course suitable for?

When you have successfully completed this course, you will receive the Level 1 Diploma in Plastering, which will mean you will be qualified to gain employment in the construction industry.  Or if you prefer, you could move up to Diploma Level 2 in Plastering.

There are many benefits to a career in the plastering and construction industry, and good basic rates of pay.  Many plasterers move onto supervisory roles, or even set up their own business.

Course Duration

50 days

You can train for consecutive days, two days a week or even one day a week to obtain your qualification.  You may also be able to incorporate some weekend training if you have other commitments.

£2,500 inc. V.A.T. (A deposit of £500 is required at the time of booking).  Monthly payment options available.
