Metal Partitioning Course - 4 Days

An introduction to plastering and drylining with the trainee being shown how to bond plasterboard to walls by use of adhesive compound and how to plasterboard ceilings.

With the trainee skimming not only to plasterboard but preparing and skimming over previously plastered surfaces, emphasis is placed on quality of the finish and correct work practice throughout the course to produce a professional standard of work. This course is the perfect starter whether you have little or no plastering experience.

This course comprises briefly of:

  • Plaster boarding timber ceilings
  • Dot and dabbing plasterboards to walls
  • Cutting and bedding angle beads
  • Skimming ceilings and walls
  • Applying pva glue and over skimming
  • Filling out holes and chases using backing plasters and skimming to achieve a seamless finish
  • The correct practice of work

You will be provided with all the necessary tools, materials and overalls to complete this course.

Weekend Courses

Ideal for people who have family or work commitments through the week. Our weekday courses can be run over consecutive weekends.

Saturday and Sunday 9am until 4pm.
