This is a practical and theory based course which consists of the student/candidate working through a number of work related units.
The Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration has been designed for learners’ to demonstrate a broad set of skills when carrying out business administrative tasks, and to develop learners’ understanding of the principles that underpin working in a business administrative environment.
Some of the units that you will complete are:
- Communication in a Business Environment
- Understand Employer Organisations
- Principles or Providing Administrative Services
- Principles of Business Document Production and Information Management
- Manage Personal Performance and Development
- Develop Working Relationships with Colleagues
There are 6 mandatory units in total, optional units may vary according to work placement and/or personal preferences. Other units within the course will include work on key skills (depending upon previous academic results) and industry standard technical certificates.
Assessed in the workplace.
Applicants must have suitable employment. Successful outcome from assessment test and interview.
Interview with a specialist tutor. Candidates are required to show enthusiasm and commitment to the course.

How is the course assessed?
You will be regularly visited at your workplace by a College assessor who will assist you in gathering the needed evidence to prove competence.
Are there any opportunities for progression?
All successful students may have the opportunity to progress onto further qualifications and training such as: BTEC Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration.
