Level 2 (NVQ) Diploma in Brickwork
This is a practical and theory based course which consists of the student/candidate working through a number of work related units.
This qualification is based solely on site in your chosen trade area.
You will produce an NVQ portfolio based on the work you complete whilst in employment.
Some of the units that you will complete are:
- Move and Handle Resources
- Maintain Slate and Tile Roofing
- Lay Domestic Drainage.
There are 7 units in total, some of the above are mandatory units and others are optional.
More information will be available to you at enrolment. You will be visited on site by an Assessor who will assist you in gathering the needed evidence to prove competence.
Assessed in workplace
Applicants will be expected to be in relevant employment with the support of an employer who can offer work that supports NVQ completion.
For applicants aged 16 – 24 NSPP have a range of vacancies available with employers, those without an employer will be given job seeking assistance by NSPP.
Interview with a specialist member of staff.
Candidates are required to show enthusiasm and commitment to the course.

How is the course assessed?
You will be regularly visited on site by a College assessor who will assist you in gathering the needed evidence to prove competence.
Are there any opportunities for progression?
All successful students may have the opportunity to progress onto NVQ Level 3 Brickwork through the work based evidence route.
